Module 2.2 Culturally Responsive Teaching Self-efficacy Scale (CRTSES) Task 7
To assess teachers' effectiveness in implementing CRT practices in the classroom, Siwatu (2007) created the Culturally Responsive Teaching Self-efficacy Scale (CRTSES). This tool measures teachers' confidence in utilizing students' cultural backgrounds to enhance learning. If you are or plan to be a teacher, this scale may raise your awareness of the cultural issues regarding a culturally responsive pedagogy. Check your confidence in the CRTSES.

Look at your CRTSES results and decide which two actions are easy and fast to implement in the classroom and which other two require more experience, knowledge, and teaching skills. Divide your answers into two groups using the numbers referring to actions from the CRTSES (10 minutes).

In summary, CRT promotes inclusive and equitable educational practices by valuing and incorporating students' cultural diversity, thereby enriching learning experiences and fostering academic success across diverse student populations.
